Director & vice-director

• Identify the central idea of how events of the night will unfold.
• Promote and maintain communication among various members of Malaysian Night committee.
• Work with MSC committee to find sponsors for the night. ‘Price’ of the sponsorship must be considered. E.g.: If they want us to hold a weekend-long political rally for a $1,000 sponsorship, it’s best to reject the sponsorship. Unreasonable demands must not be accepted.
• Ensure that other committee members do their work while helping them as much as possible when necessary.
• Talk to HUB administrators to prepare a general layout of the hall during the night. Also, work with Tech & Media Support to negotiate with HUB admin to have the most tech support available during the night.

Head of Performances

• In charge of overall performances, supervising the leader for each performance.
• Will be in charge of a number of members in performing a specific performance.
• Ensure that their members arrive in time for joined-practice.
• Relay messages to Money Manager & Props Manager for any materials needed for their performance.

Props & Hall Decorations Manager

• It is desirable that creative and artistically inclined members be a part of this committee.
• Collect props from the previous Malaysian Night. Start at 670J Prospect Ave (Que, Muammar, Muru & Fashli’s house).
• Listen to requests from the Head of Performances for props that they’ll need for their respective performances.
• Contact the Money Manager with an approximate cost for the props.
• Once approved, be swift in preparing the props.
• Besides the props, you are also in charge of decorations in the hall and in areas surrounding it. Several things to keep in mind:
• Nothing should be hung on the walls of the hall.
• Decorations can be hung on the railings leading to the hall.
• Placement of an existing arch at the entrance of the hall.For more info, contact Muammar (814-753-0304), our previous hall decorator.

Head of Public Relations

• Work together with the advertising committee to promote Malaysian Night
• Usher and welcome guests during Malaysian night.
• Assist the advertising and ticketing committee especially in attracting guests.
• Ensure that the guests feel comfortable and keep the guests company especially the VIPs during the night.
